In conjunction with Norwalk SPED Partners, Norwalk Public Schools invites families of students with special needs to join us to meet Dr. Lynn Toper, our new Chief of Specialized Learning and Student Services. Dr. Toper joined Norwalk Public Schools in July to oversee specialized instruction for students receiving special education and related services, along with other support services.

DATE: Monday, September 19, 2016

TIME: 6 pm – 8 pm (6 pm – 6:30 pm: Meet & Greet. 6:30 pm – 8 pm: Remarks and discussion.)

LOCATION: Norwalk City Hall, Third Floor, Room A300

Joining Dr. Toper will be Dr. Steven Adamowski, superintendent, Norwalk Public Schools; Dr. Peg McDonald, one of the authors of the 2015 Capitol Region Education Council Report (CREC) on Special Education in Norwalk; and Attorney Terri DeFrancis, who was formerly a mediator with the Connecticut State Department of Education. Atty. DeFrancis has led the work with Norwalk on our Special Ed policies and procedures.

Light refreshments will be served. Spanish translation will be available.
