The Norwalk Health Department held a successful kick off of the Healthy for Life Project, a coalition from Norwalk and surrounding towns that works on projects to promote health and wellness and reduce and prevent obesity and chronic disease by promoting healthy lifestyles in our communities. One of their current projects is the redesign and promotion of the Health Department’s NorWALKer routes, walking maps in more than a dozen different Norwalk neighborhoods. After months of work to update and redesign the maps, 8 of them are ready to go with a new, updated look, and a few of the routes have been changed to make the walks safer and/or more pleasant.
