Human Services Council’s 5th Annual KIDZFEST Touch-A-Truck & More Fundraiser to benefit Children’s Connection will be held rain or shine on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 10am – 3pm at Taylor Farm Park, located on Calf Pasture Beach Road in Norwalk. This hands-on interactive family event has more than 50 Real Vehicles that dig, climb, rescue, crunch, honk and fly! Cost is just $5 per person.
KIDZFEST offers the unique opportunity for families to get in and explore construction, emergency and recreation vehicles of all sizes that are typically off limits to the public. Emergency vehicles include: police vehicles, crime scene investigation trucks and ATVs (from local police departments), ambulance, Norwalk fire trucks; construction vehicles: excavator, wheel loader, skid steer, dump truck, cement mixers and come see the Eagle Three Helicopter from 10-1230!
New this year- wear your costume and come “truck or treating” with us! This year we have an awesome coffee cup shaped truck from Dunkin Donuts, a real Crane Simulator to teach you how to operate the big rigs! Attendees can ride the Roaming Railroad, and participate in other activities including face painting, music, games and take photos with Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Olaf from Frozen and many other characters! The event will feature music from 99Dollar DJ & Entertainment Service and for the fourth year – radio personality John Voket will be our MC., and the awesome folks from 95.9 the Fox. Hot off the Grille will be serving the best burgers around and Mister Softee’s Ice Cream will be sure to impress with their sweet treats.
