The Norwalk School District is richly diverse and multicultural. As of October 2017, Norwalk Public Schools had approximately 1,800 English Language Learners who speak a total of 36 languages and come from 40 countries.
English Language Learners (ELLs) have unique needs and twice the amount of work as they attempt to learn English and their academic subjects at the same time.
