Thanks to support from our national network, StriveTogether, the four ‘cradle-to-career’ communities in Connecticut (BridgeportProspers, Norwalk ACTS, Stamford Cradle to Career, Waterbury Bridge to Success) have Brandon Hayden as our State C2C Policy Director. Brandon will work with each of the four cities to develop local community engagement and community mobilization capacity and align that capacity to influence state and local policies.
BRANDON HAYDEN – State C2C Policy Director
Prior to this role, Brandon worked as a legislative aide in the Connecticut General Assembly. Through his work in that role, he helped to form numerous legislative concepts and provided crucial support to constituents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
His passion for improving the lives of Connecticut’s youth stems from his upbringing. Being raised by an immigrant family from Nicaragua, he noticed the differences in access to resources in education for families. The lack of education on resources that his family could have potentially accessed made it so that he didn’t have the monetary resources possible to attend college fluidly and instilled a drive in him to get engaged in the legislative process to make a difference for Connecticut’s youth.
